RIFLE — Cora Mae Furr, 66, a resident of Newcastle, Wyo., for many years, died, Aug. 17, 1981, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Lillian) Little, of Rulison. Furr was born Cora Good, July 21, 1905, in Weston County, Wyo., and spent her early life in Upton and Osage. Survivors in addition to Mrs, Little, are a second daughter, Mrs. Robert Wible of Bowie, Md.; a son, James Batson, and a brother, Sterling (Doc) Good, both of Rifle; and nine grandchildren. NEWCASTLE — Graveside services for Cora M. (Delilah) Furr, 66, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, with Bryan Clark officiating. Mrs. Furr died Monday at the home of her daughter at Rifle, Colo. of brain cancer. She was born July 21, 1915, at Upton, and was the daughter of Wyoming pioneers, Christian and Cora Good. Mrs. Furr was reared on the family homestead at Skull Creek and attended school at Osage. In 1941, the family moved to Osage when they sold the homestead. She married Louis Ernest Batson in Edgemont, S.D. They lived in Sheridan and Mrs. Furr returned to Osage in 1950, where she lived until 1961, when she returned to Sheridan. She later married Garland Furr. In 1970, she moved to Newcastle where she lived with her brother, Doc Good, until May, 1981, when she moved to Rifle. Besides her brother, she is survived by one son, Jim Batson of Rifle; two daughters, Lily Little of Rulison, Colo., and Lola Wible of Bowi, Md.; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents and three brothers The McColley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
