Mildred Hazel Furr of Columbia died Friday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today in Bethany Cemetery. Burial will be directed by Stuhr's North Area Chapel. Mrs. Furr was born Sept. 19, 1933, in Charleston, a daughter of Harold E. Hazel and Edna Reeves Hazel. She attended Charleston schools. Surviving are two sons, Jack Furr and Gary Furr, both of North Charleston; four sisters, Lois Verby, Louise Cooke, Betty McMillan and Ethel Songer, all of Charleston; three brothers, Edward Hazel, Robert Hazel and Howard Hazel, all of Charleston; and a granddaughter.Charleston News and Courier, Charleston, South Carolina, March 19, 1988
