Death
H. Leon Reece, 85 of Powder Springs died February 24, 2011. Services were held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel in Marietta with Rev. David LeGrand and Rev. Arthur Reece officiating. Burial followed at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. Mr. Reece was a lifelong resident of Marietta and Lost Mountain Community. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1942 and served in the US Navy. Leon owned and operated Pine Forest Barber Shop. He was a long time member of Rose Lane Baptist Church which is now Gracepoint Baptist Church in Marietta. Leon and Margie were married 62 year until her death in 2007. Survivors include his sons Joe Reece and his wife Debbie of Dallas, Del Reece of Buford, Hal "Butch" Reece and his wife Brenda of Dallas; five grandchildren Brett Reece, Bonnie Williams and her husband Craig, Karen Shelton and her husband Keith, Dan Reece and his wife Hannah, A. J. Reece; and eight great grandchildren.Endnotes
