Death

Mrs. Carolyn Furr Carr— died on Thursday, September 27, 2001, at the age of 81. She was a resident of Mobile, AL, for 50 years and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, for the past 30 years. She was a long time member of Ashland Place United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Ashland Place Circle and a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church exercise class called “Happy Girls”. She is preceded in death by her son, Denny Furr. She is survived by her husband, Edsel E. Carr of Spanish Fort, AL; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Furr of Fairhope, AL; one grand- daughter, Victoria Gest (Jim); two great grandchildren, Courtney N. Gest and Hunter Gest; nieces, Diana Trombley, Cynthia Setters, Kandice Stamper; other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2001, at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from Ashland Place United Methodist Church on the corner of Wisteria and Old Shell Road on Saturday, September 29, 2001, at 10 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway. Funeral arrangements by Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street Extension, Mobile, AL.
