Death
SICILY ISLAND - Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Bostick Furr, 88, of Sicily Island were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 16, 1992, in the chapel of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday with the Rev. Milton Williams and Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Park Mausoleum in Sicily Island. Mrs. Furr died Sunday, November 15, 1992, in a Wisner Funeral Home. She was born November 13, 1904, in Colfax. She was a retired school teacher and member of the first Baptist Church in Wisner. She was a resident of Sicily Island since 1945, member of the Wisner Garden Club, and of Chapter No. 143 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara C. Simmons of Sicily Island; one brother, Herman Bostick of Lake Village, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. Ivie Lewis of Tallulah, Mrs. Everlona Anderson of Lafayette, Mrs. Annie Travis of Delhi, and Mrs. Estelle Mondey of Grove, Tex.; three grandchildren, Mrs. Nancy Simmons Piepho of Vistavia Hills, Ma., Van Simmons of Conyers, Ga., and Mrs. Suzanne Simmons Thomas of Orlando,Fla.; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Van Simmons Jr., Linus Piepho, Scott Thomas, Girauly Bird, P.J. Spears and Buck Smith.The Richland Beacon-News, Rayville, Louisiana, November 19, 1992
