Death

Friends and relatives of Alex Hall were shocked and grieved when the news was circulated early Monday morning that he had died of a heart attack at his home at Gulfport Sunday night. He had enjoyed excellent health all of his life, and was ill only a few minutes before he passed away. Mr. Hall was 47 years of age and had been employed for some time at the government hospital at Gulfport. Funeral services were held from Mt. Zion Methodist Church at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday with Rev. G. Eliot Jones in charge. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Besides his wife, Mrs. Iola Furr Hall and small daughter, he is survived by his father, Mr. A. H. Hall of Prentiss; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Atwood, Prentiss and Mrs. Charles Calhoun, Mt. Olive; six brothers, Evans, Frank, Grover and Will Hall, Prentiss; Robert Hall, Collins and S. M. Hall, Richwood, West Virginia.
