Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Graveside Services for Mr. Floyd D. Howard, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Hasley Cemetery Memorial Pavilion in West Monroe with Rev. Gordon "Skip" Dean officiating. Mr. Howard was born on January 18, 1922 in Quitman, LA and passed away on February 3, 2010 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Howard was retired from Louisiana Power and Light/Entergy as a Supervising Electrical Engineer after 40 years. He was a 60 plus year member of Local Masonic Lodges and amateur ham radio operator W5KUZ. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Frances R. Folks Howard and sons, Tommy L. Howard and Jerry R. Howard and his parents, Walter Jerry Howard and Izoria Bridges Howard. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Survivors include his son, Stephen K. Howard and wife Janet of Shreveport, LA; daughter-in-law, Dana Furr Howard of Bossier City, LA; granddaughters, Amy Long and husband Michael of Colorado Springs, CO and Allison Jones and husband Richard of Shreveport, LA; grandson, Michael Howard and friend Linda of Vero Beach, FL; great grandchildren, Colby Long, Hogan Jones, and Paxton Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. He will be greatly missed by all!!!!
