Death

Nada Jade Robbins Hill, age 85, of Asheboro died Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hill was born in Randolph County on April 19, 1935 to Thomas Farelious "T.F." and Katherine Trogdon Robbins. She was a 1954 graduate of Asheboro High School. Nada Jade was a member of Mountain of Faith Christian Church where she was the former Choir Director. In addition to her parents, Nada Jade was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Brown. She was a member of the Randolph County Quilters Guild and the Brunswick County Quilters Guild. Nada Jade was a former Randolph County 4-H leader. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Hill; daughter, Renate Furr and husband Rick of Asheboro; son, Virgil Hill of Asheboro; sisters, Xantippie Cheek and husband Branson of Franklinville and Shelia Scott and husband Rick of Randleman. Mrs. Hill's body will lie in state on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from noon-5:00 pm and on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 9:00 am-12 noon at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A private service will be held.
