Death

ONCORD - Tony Ray Ledbetter, 59, of 2885 Walsh Dr., died at CMC-NorthEast. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at the Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ferrel Shimpock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Mr. Ledbetter was born July 17, 1948 in Cabarrus County to Mrs. Myrtle Thomas Ledbetter Gordon of Concord and the late Carl Eugene Ledbetter. He was employed at Lynco Home Improvement and was also a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, racing, listening to gospel music, and taking care of his family. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Furr Ledbetter; three daughters,Tonya L. Hance of Indianland, SC, Brandie Michelle Furr of Concord and Tenille "Tater" Ledbetter of Concord; two sons, Tracy Lynn Helms and wife Heather Ilene Helms of Concord and Michael Shane Furr and wife Amber of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Shelby Purser of Monroe and Dolly Cook of Linwood; three brothers, Ronnie Eugene Ledbetter of Concord, Roger Dale Ledbeter of Kannapolis, and Kenneth Wayne Ledbetter of Concord; six grandchildren, Alexis Cheyenne Plyler and Christian Lee Scott Plyler, Taylor Lynn Helms and Ethan Andrew Helms, Jackson Lee Hunter and Katlyn Jane Payne. He was preceded in death by a sister, the late Brenda Simpson. Memorials for Mr. Ledbetter may be made in care of Tenille Ledbetter at 2885 Walsh Drive Concord, NC 28027.
