Death

Robert Lee Warner, age 84, of Salem Road, Lexington, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Lexington Health Care Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vern Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 at the church prior to the service. Robert was born in Davidson County on October 4, 1933 to William Conrad Warner and Nellie Hix Warner. He was an Army Veteran and served our country proudly and was retired from Lexington Furniture Linwood Plant and was of the Methodist faith. His passion in life was his garden, which he enjoyed sharing with others. People would make a special trip to visit his garden and select their favorites. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Warner, and sisters, Helen Rummage and Betty Johnson. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Carmellene Furr Warner; sons Jeremy Warner (Dawn) and William Jeff Warner (Lisa), all of Lexington, grandchild Jarrett Warner and step-grandchild, Chris Baumes.
