Death

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Peggie Loretta Turner Hicks, 70, widower of the late James Hicks, to whom she was married to since the age of 14, has seen the face of her loving Savior on Thursday, August 03, 2017. Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Thelma Landress and J.C. Turner. She was a homemaker and member of Tremont Church of God. She loved camping with her sister and niece, going to yard sales and raising her chickens. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Furr (Allen) and Angela Reynolds (Charlie); son, Frank Hicks (Kristen), her sister and best and closest friend, Judy Propes; ten grandchildren, Kelly Osteen (Clay), CJ Furr (Heather), James Hicks, Alexis Hicks, Ashleigh Smith (Matt), Avery Lollis and Elliott "Dooda" Reynolds; six great grandchildren, Zane, Chandler, Garrett, Coeben, Laine and Lilly Ann; a niece whom she adored, Louise Craft, and a great-nephew, Dylan; Visitation will be held Saturday, August 05, 2017 at 10:30 a.m until 11:45 a.m.at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at Noon in the Northwest Chapel.
