Death

Donald Gene Sullivan, 77, of Shallotte passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. He was born in Fayette County, Ky., to the late Edgar Jackson and Thelma Louise Armour Sullivan. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Gayle Sullivan, and a granddaughter, Megan Hudson. Surviving are his loving wife, Leora Denney Sullivan; son, Donald Gene Sullivan Jr. (Amy) of Concord; daughters, Robyn Michele RoSser (Kim) of Winder, Ga., Lori Lee Furr (Randy) of Stanfield and Mary Beth Hudson (Jerry Wayne) of Kannapolis; brother, Ronald Dean Sullivan of Nicholasville, Ky.; sister, Mary Jo Bowen of Lexington, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, in Brunswick Memorial Service chapel in Shallotte. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Donald to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter for the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 1414 Physicians Drive Wilmington, NC 28401.
