Death

MONROE -- Mr. Kiker, 87, died Saturday, October 4, 2003. Born February 18, 1916 in Union County, NC, he was the son of the late Wrennie Medlin Kiker and Rufus Davis Kiker. He was retired after 44 years with Charlotte Pipe & Foundry, Charlotte, NC. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2003 at Shiloh Advent Christian Church-Monroe with The Rev. Billy Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Monroe, NC. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hartsell Funeral Home-Midland. The family will meet at the home, 3212 Zebulon Williams Rd., Monroe, NC. He was a member of Shiloh Advent Christian Church-Monroe. Survivors include wife, Nancy Rachel Rushing Kiker of the home; sons, Davis Kiker of Monroe, NC and Ronnie Kiker of Marshville, NC; daughters, Shirley Sedgwick of Woodstock, GA, Delorce Furr of Monroe, NC, Gloria Stroupe of Monroe, NC, and Shan Tetlow of Monroe, NC; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Kiker. Hartsell Funeral Home-Midland is serving the family of Mr. Kiker.
