Death
Dallas – Fannie P. Furr, 86, of Dallas, died Saturday, Nov. 29, in Methodist Hospital. She was born July 15, 1911, in Sliddell, to James Marvin Anthony and Mattie Amtx Anthony. She married Erwin W. Borth on Dec. 22, 1931, in Marietta, Okla. He died in 1978. She married Harvey G. Furr on June 3, 1950. He died Nov. 22, 1994. Services will be Monday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with Dr. Harvey Tingle of Hampton Place Baptist Church officiating. Interment to follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Survivors include two sons, Charles Borth of Denton, and Anthony Borth of Duncanville; one brother, Owran Anthony of Krum; four grandchildren; six grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Laurel Land Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Endnotes
