Death

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, for Edith Eugenia Raybourn Furr, 100, of Lumberton, who died Friday, July 29, 2016 at her residence. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Columbia. Father Tommy Conway will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hathorn Funeral Home. Ms. Edith was a longtime resident of Lamar County and the Greenville Community, and she loved working with flowers and gardening. She was a Registered Nurse for many years. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Zeno G. & Sarah Sylvest Raybourn; her first Husband, Otto B. Tarbutton; her second Husband, James Furr; two Brothers, Lewis Raybourn, Mason Raybourn; two Sisters, Mazie Thompson and Violet Hickman. She is survived by three Step Grandchildren; twelve Step Great Grandchildren; and a number of Nieces & Nephews. Pallbearers will be Wallace Pigott, Dewitt Pigott, Anthony Pigott, Jonathon Pigott, Robert "Todd" Pigott, Benjamin Pigott, and Ryan Pigott.
