Dorothy Elizabeth Rayl was born October 17, 1916 at Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Glen Arthur Rabun and Lura Mai Furr Rabun. Dorothy passed away on Saturday November 12, 2011 at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was 95 years of age. Dorothy grew up in the Hutchinson, Kansas area and attended public school there. Dorothy Rabun and E.F. Rayl were united in marriage in 1936 in Wichita, Kansas. They were married for 49 years. Dorothy was a member of the Church of the Brethren. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed operating the "Crystal Ballroom" in Hutchinson, Kansas. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Glen A. Rabun, Jr. and her beloved husband E.F. "Slick" Rayl in 1985.
