SPARTANBURG, SC-- Brenda Baker Hewitt 'Mimi', 76, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at her home. Born June 2, 1940, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Scoval and Jessie Vaughn Baker and widow of Gary Hewitt. Mrs. Hewitt was a member of Clifton Second Baptist Church and worked for Chartwell Food Services. Survivors include her son, Michael Hewitt (Connie) of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Lori Jefferies of Cherokee County, SC and Kellie Furr of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Trevor Hewitt, Blake Hewitt, Brandon Mulkey, Heather Hewitt, and Halie Furr; and great-granddaughters, Emma Hewitt, Jada Mulkey, Brooklyn Robinson, and Hayden Robinson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Lanier. Visitation will be 11:30 AM-12:45 PM Friday, July 15, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Mike Stubblefield and the Rev. David Moore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clifton Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 5145 Clifton-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
