Death

Andrew Michael Furr, 32, passed away Sunday morning, July 7, 2019, at his home, following a period of declining health. Born November 12, 1986 in Cabarrus County, he was a son of James Mitchell and Gina Gail Kimberlin Furr. Andrew was a 2005 graduate of South Rowan High and had attended UNC Charlotte. Andrew had earlier worked for Risley-Padula in Wilmington, and most recently for Interior Woods, where he was a tremendously gifted carpenter. Andrew loved his family, being outdoors, being on the water, traveling and gaming. Earlier in life, he was involved with organized baseball and was a great skateboarder, both of which he enjoyed with his twin brother, Anthony. Family members left with cherished memories include his devoted wife, Kristen Huneycutt; his adored children, Keelie and Austin Furr; his parents, James Furr (Lorraine) and Gina Kimberlin; his siblings, Anthony Furr (Jessica), Aaron Furr (Sarah Beth), Dylan Smith, Casey Furr, Katie Zarate, Annie Paszkiel, and much loved extended family members. Memorial services to remember and celebrate the life of Andrew will begin at 11 am Thursday, July 11th at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Andy Williamson. The family will speak with friends following the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
