Death
Hazel Talbert, 78, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Herbert Talbert and Cora Hilton Talbert. He was married to Doris Furr Talbert. He was retired from Springs Industries. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Annette Talbert Harrison of Lancaster; a son, Hazel Michael Talbert of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Irene Rowell of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mahaffey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gene Ghent, with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
