Death

Lizanne Starr, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed from this life Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, due to complications from diabetes. Full of life, love, happiness and adventure, Lizanne was born Sept. 22, 1956, in Burnet to Fritz Wynell Renfro and Elizabeth Faye Renfro. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1974 and obtained an associate degree from TCJC to become a licensed dental hygienist. She later earned a cardiovascular technician license and enjoyed a fulfilling career caring for others until her own health required her retirement in 1999. She married Preston Matthew Starr in Arlington on Feb. 17, 1979, and after living in various places throughout the United States, they eventually settled in Trophy Club with their three children. A baseball and basketball fan who loved her Rangers and Mavericks, she bowled, sewed, shopped and enjoyed getting away to her favorite vacation spot in the Davis Mountains. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 The family would like to express appreciation to the ICU staff at Hurst-Euless-Bedford Hospital for all their kindness. Lizanne was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz Wynell Renfro and Elizabeth Faye Renfro; and brother, Randy Furr. Survivors: Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years, Preston Starr; daughter, Carol Jordan and husband, Ed; daughter, Marie Cate and husband, Bryan; son, Justin Starr and significant other, Kacey Daniel; sister, Debbie Dragoo and husband, Arlin; sister, Judy Talley and husband, Wayne; sister, Jan Blissit and husband, Mickey; and four grandchildren.
