Death
Betty Sue (Rich) Horner, a resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma, left this life and joined her Lord and Savior, at her home on January 28th, 2019 at the age of 87. She was born in Bennington, Oklahoma on October 28th, 1931 to Robert and Lester (Jones) Rich. Family hour will be from 7-8:00 PM on Friday February 1st at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A service in her honor will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday February 2nd at the First Baptist Church in Bennington with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. Her final resting place will be the Bennington Cemetery with David Furr, John Horner, Billy Horner, Christopher Horner, Joe Franklin, and Robert Harrell as pallbearers. Her honorary pallbearers will be Monte Horner and Stanley Davis. Betty was considered very crafty and loved to make things with her hands. She enjoyed: sewing, quilting, crocheting, wood crafts, and stained-glass work. Mrs. Horner is survived by her beloved daughter, Beck Furr and husband David of West Fork, Arkansas: grandchildren, Billy Dell Horner and wife Amanda of Duncanville, Texas, John Horner of Ava, Missouri, Amanda Furr of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mercede Furr of West Fork, Arkansas: brother, Joe Rich and wife Sue of Garland, Texas: sister, Lucy Rich of Bokchito, Oklahoma: three great-grandsons and three great-great, granddaughters: Betty is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horner was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Bill Horner, Sr.: cherished son, Bill Horner, Jr.: sisters, Juanita Lowry, Imogene Horner, Peggy Smith, and one great-grandson. Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.Endnotes
