Death
Concord — Following two months of illness with heart trouble, Mrs. Pinkie Blackwelder Furr, 59, died Saturday morning at the Cabarrus Hospital. Funeral services will beheld Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Roberta Methodist Church, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Born in Cabarrus County October 25, 1885, Mrs. Furr was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Blackwelder and lived in Cabarrus County all her life. She was the widow of G. M. Furr, and an active member of the Roberta Church. Surviving are four daughters and six sons.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, June 11, 1944
