Death

Funeral services for Walter Lee Epps, age 65, of 2026 Cook Road, Augusta, who died unexpectedly Sunday, at a locaL infirmary, will be held at 3pm today at Elliott Sons Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Boyd officiating. Burial will be at West View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rollins Cox, Grady Powell, Woodrow Stewart, Bill Goodson, Tom Corley, and James Corley. Mr. Epps was the widower of Cora Lee Cowart Epps. He was born in Sparta, Ga., but had resided in Richmond County most of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by one son; Arthur Edward Epps of Miami; eight daughters; Mrs. Ollie Howard, Mrs A.H. Darnell, Mrs. Robert Holsonbake, Mrs Theodore Hellinski, Mrs. W.B. Miller, Mrs. J.E. Furr, and Mrs. C.K. Jordan, all of Augusta, and Mrs. James Weaver, of Hinesville, Ga. and 25 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Homer Epps of Augusta, and one sister Mrs. James Parker, of Augusta.
