Death

Mrs. Elizabeth Loflin Hill, 90, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the GrayBrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Trinity. A resident of this area all of her life, Mrs. Hill was born on August 6, 1922 in Guilford County to the late James and Lilly Hodgin Loflin. Mrs. Hill was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church in Trinity. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and seeing the country through her travels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hill and a grandson, Daniel Branch. Surviving are her children, Peggy Branch and her husband Danny of Trinity, Linda Furr and her husband George of Archdale, Susan Acure and her husband Guy of Greensboro, and James Hill and his wife Joyce of Jamestown; grandchildren, Bill Furr, Craig Furr, Christy Leonard, Brian Vaughn, and Robert Vaughn; and nine great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mrs. Hill's life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, June 15th at True Gospel Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the West Wing of GrayBrier for their sincere care of Mrs. Hill during her time there.
