Death
TOCCOA, Ga. — Paul Young Furr, 84, of Route 4, Homer Road, Toccoa, died Wednesday afternoon at his home after a sudden attack. Born in Habersham County, he was a son of the late William Paul and Mary Davis Furr and had lived most of his life in Tococa and Stephens county. Before retirement, he was head of the Veterans Service Administration for many years and was a member of the Federal Land Bank. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of Tococa American Legion Post No. 104, a charter member of the Tococa Rotary Club, and a member of Clarkesville Presbyterian Church. Surviving are sisters, Mrs. L.C. (Bessie) Harris, Miss Glen Furr and Miss Olive Furr of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services at 2 p.m. Friday at Davis Family Cemetery by Dr. Kelly Barnes. The body is at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, The family is at the home, Homer Road, Toccoa.Anderson Independent, Anderson, South Carolina, November 30, 1979
