Death
Shreveport, LA -Mrs. Amaryllis Hill Furr, 86, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8th, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, in the Chapel of Osborn. Officiating will be Rev. Ronney Joe Webb, of First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Winnsboro Cemetery, Winnsboro, LA. Mrs. Furr was a native of Winnsboro and resident of Shreveport for over 60 years. She worked as a librarian for the Caddo Parish School system for more than 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shreveport, ADK Sorority and the Department Club. Mrs. Furr was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey O'Neal Furr, Jr. She is survived by her son, David O'Neal Furr, Sr.; grandson, David O'Neal Furr, Jr.; and great granddaughter, Kaylee Olivia Furr. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her many friends who stood by her in her time of need.Published in Shreveport Times on March 7, 2013
