Death

MIDLAND Bobby Earl Hartsell, 75, of Stanfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at his home. Mr. Hartsell was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Union County to the late Thomas Earl Hartsell and Cora Wallena Efird Hartsell. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, officiated by the Rev. Jim White and Rick McManus. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Millie Furr Hartsell, of the home; his son, Tony Hartsell and wife, Bobbi, of Mt. Pleasant; his daughter, Connie Hart-sell and husband, Ricky, of Conway, S.C.; his step-sons, Jimmy Tyree and wife, Danielle, of Midland and Scottie Tyree and wife, Carla, of Oakboro; his brothers, Joel Hartsell and wife, Martha, of Midland and Ken Hartsell and wife, Brenda, of Midland; his sisters, Kay Tucker and husband, Richard, of Oakboro and Janette Kiker and husband, Rob, of Monroe; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First St., Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Hartsell family.
