Richard Charles Burris, 73, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at CHS NorthEast. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle, NC. Mr. Burris was born November 14, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Estelle Efird and Bruce Burris. Richard is survived by his life partner Gwendolyn Furr Burris of the home; daughter Jan Burris Gilbert of Mt. Gilead, NC; sons Dale Burris of Albemarle, NC, Jessie Burris of Lenoir City, TN, and Josh Burris (Jodie) of New London, NC; and step-daughter Laura Hartsell; 12 grandchildren; brothers Aaron Burris of Albemarle, NC, Gary Burris (Shelby) of New London, NC, Nelson Burris (Patti) of Waxhaw, NC, and Bryon Burris (Reba) of Richfield, NC; sister Norma Burris Mitchell of Richfield, NC; special Aunt Ruth and Uncle John Piper of Kings Mountain, NC.
