Death

KANNAPOLIS Randal Lee "Randy" Stewart, 61, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his residence. Randy was born March 17, 1951, in Cabarrus County to the late Myrl Stewart and Annie M. Stewart, who survives. He worked in the early years for Eugene Coard, Ronald Liles, and Sox and Martin. In later years, he worked and retired from Hendrick's Motor Sports. Survivors include his mother, of the home; daughter, Aprille Furr and husband, Travis; son, Adrian Lee; granddaughter, Kennedy Grace Furr; sister, Deborah Biddy; nieces and nephews, Kevin Stewart, Wendi Stewart, Michael Biddy, Alisha Biddy and Brittany Biddy. He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Myrl Wicker "Wick" Stewart. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, June 17, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Eugene Coard and the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. today, prior to the service.
