Death

CONCORD On Monday evening, April 30, 2012, our loving mother, Mrs. Janice Rae Stafford Shoe, of Concord, passed away at St. Andrews Living Center. To celebrate her life, a gathering of family and friends will be at Wilkinson Funeral Home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will have a private graveside service at a later time. Janice was born January 18, 1936 in Ruby, S.C. in Chesterfield County as the daughter of the late Riley and Cleo Stafford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mike and her only brother, Jimmy Stafford. As she grew up in Kannapolis, she enjoyed teaching and playing the piano. She married Mike Ray Shoe on July 14, 1951 and had three daughters. Later in her life, Jan was the manager of Exxon on Branchview Dr. and Union St. Janice is survived by her daughters, Debbie Selle and husband, Spence, of Mooresville, Susan Furr and husband, Joe, and Lori Lentz and husband, Chris, of Concord; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family requests that no flowers be sent, and memorials may be given in her honor to St. Andrews Living Center, 246 Cabarrus Ave. W., Concord, NC 28025.
