Death
PORT GIBSON — Leonard M. Furr died Monday in St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson after a lengthy illness. He was 81. He was a native of Union Church and had lived in Jefferson County most of his life. He was a Baptist and a member of the Builder’s Chapter No. 354 Order of Eastern Star. Services are scheduled today at 3 p.m. in the Guion Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Carr officiating. Burial will be in the McBride Cemetery in Jefferson County. Mr. Furr is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Zoe Nelda Squire of Anaheim, Calif; two grandchildren; two great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be members of John A. Galbreath Masonic Lodge No. 334.The Vicksburg Post, Vicksburg, Mississippi, June 28, 1978
