Death

Kimberly Barbara Morton, age 47, passed January 10, 2012, into God s loving arms. She was a loving daughter, partner, sister, mother and friend, to countless who will miss her dearly. Kim was a life-long Stanly County resident, a loving example of dignity, warmth and never- ending strength to those she has left behind. Kim blessed all of those fortunate enough to know and love her, with uncommon kindness and love. The family will receive friends at 607 Salisbury Avenue, Albemarle, on Saturday, January 14th, from 4 PM until 6 PM. Kimberly was born on January 12, 1964 in Stanly County, to the late Warren Morton and Barbara Furr. In addition to her mother, she is survived by partner, Scherine Barnett; daughter, Kali Morton; son, Shawn Morton, sister, Sherrie Morton; brothers, Donnie and Dwayne Morton; nieces, Angie Morton and Morgan Clayton; nephew, Garrett Clayton; great-nephews, Darrius Watkins and Jaylynn Morton. She also leaves behind, countless loved ones. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. 1st Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Morton family.
