Mr. Ernest Thomas, 79, died Monday evening at Hospice House in Monroe. Born January 30, 1939 in Union County, he was a son of the late Mr. Ernest Thomas, 79, died Monday evening at Hospice House in Monroe. Born January 30, 1939 in Union County, he was a son of the late Wayne Thomas and Ruth Smith Thomas Griffin. Ernest was also preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Sue Furr Thomas.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ernest will be 11 am Friday, November 2, 2018 at New Home Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 pm at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Joyce Thomas; children, Scotty Thomas, Skip Thomas and his wife Tammy both of Peachland and a daughter Kelli Jones and her husband Eugene of Polkton. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brandon Thomas of Peachland, Katelyn Mumford and her husband Jake, Lauren McKelvey and her husband Mitch of Kannapolis and Tyler Thomas all of Peachland, and Elizabeth and Noah Jones of Polkton; Brother, Roy Thomas and his wife Raeann of Peachland. Great grandchild, Hunter Thomas Step children, Kim Pugh of Peachland; step sons, Dewayne Creager and his wife Ann of Alabama and Mike Creager and his wife Angie of Fayetteville; step grandson, Brant Pugh of Peachland,
