PARK CITY, UTAH - Cynthia "Cindy" Diane Nold, 55, formerly of Concord, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Park City Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted "Grammee." She was a beloved friend of many. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday Jan. 28, 2011, at Gordon Funeral Home, 8559 Cook Street, Mount Pleasant. A celebration of Cindy's life will begin on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church in Concord. The Rev. Carl Yost will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Anyone who knew Cindy knew how much she loved spending time with her grandkids. Whether it be taking them to the park, cheering them on at ball games, or having lunch with them at school, when she was with her grandchildren she was happy. Cindy was preceded in death by her father James Artz Sr. and grandson, Grayson Furr. Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Robert Henry Nold Jr.; daughter, Lori Cauthen Furr and husband, Philip, of Mount Pleasant; step-daughters, Jennifer N. Flynn and husband, John, of Park City, Utah, Kelly N. Barbee and husband, Shawn, of Rockwell, Megan N. Knapp and husband, Branden, of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Rylee, Jacob, Caden and Mason Furr of Mount Pleasant; six step-grandchildren Connor, Delaney and Aidan Flynn of Park City, Utah, and Zachary, Kendall and Kasen Barbee of Rockwell. In addition, Cindy is survived by her mother, Ethel H. Barnette of Salisbury; four brothers, James Artz Jr. (Belinda) of Landis, Steve Artz (Pam) of Mooresville, Tim Artz (Wanda) of Salisbury and Dave Artz (Jamie) of Salisbury. In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been established for Cindy's grandchildren whom she cherished beyond measure.
