Death
CADILLAC - Rev. Eugene B. Furr died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the University Community Hospital in Tampa, Fla. He was 85. He was born on May 18, 1920 to Jesse and Rose (McClain) Furr in Charlotte, N.C. Over the years, Rev. Furr was a farmer and the pastor of several churches in the area, including the Church of God on Burlingame Street and Bethel Chapel. Survivors include his daughter, Shirley (Jose Sanchez) Furr of Cadillac; sons, Eugene B. Jr. (Linda) Furr of Boon, and Donald (Tammy) Furr of New Boston; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 18 brothers and sisters. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were made by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home in Cadillac.Endnotes
