Death

Lila Beish Robertson Ms. Robertson, 76, of Charlotte passed from this physical earth on Friday, April 23, 2004 at home. She was born October 27, 1927 in Lenoir and grew up in North Wilksboro. Lila is preceded in death by her parents, Donald T. Beish, Sr. and Anna B. Shumway, great grandparents, Samuel and Delanda Cox Jennings, brothers, Donald T. Beish and husband, Barney D. Robertson. Survivors include, daughters, Carol McCarver, Elaine Parks and Janice Robertson of Charlotte. Donna Poindexter and husband of Iron Station and Sandra Furr and husband of Weddington; sister, April McKenzie and husband of Jasper, GA, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren were also the joy of her life. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all who will miss her needlework, azaleas, roses, books and home made chow chow. She retired from J.B. Ivey and Co. and NCNB Securities Department. A visitation for her family and friends will be at the Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel on Sunday, April 25 from 6:30 until 8 p.m. in the evening. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, April 26 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Brian Taule of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
