Death

Emma Mason Hargett, 93, of Concord, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Emma was born November 29, 1925 in Concord to the late Clarence Mason and the late Mary Easley Lowder. She was also preceded in death by husband, William Wade Hargett; four brothers and one sister. Emma enjoyed fishing, going to the flea market, planting flowers and cooking for family. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Emma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include daughter, Diane H. (Butch) Furr of Concord; grandchildren, Anita (Tim) Hartsell, Teresa (Tony) Honeycutt, Dennis (Sonya) Furr; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Ashton) Honeycutt, Taylor Honeycutt (Justin Whitley), David (Amber) Furr, Aaron Hartsell, Elizabeth Hartsell; great great-grandchildren, Carson Honeycutt, Aubrey Honeycutt and Mason Furr; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. William Nix. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Hargett family.
