Death
Lucille Tollison went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2010, at 6:25a.m., at the age of 84. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Perry County, Arkansas to William F. Blankenship and Sarah (Furr) Blankenship. She was the eleventh of eleven children. She graduated from Mountain Pine High School in Arkansas in 1943 as the class valedictorian. She married R.H. Tollison on October 29th, 1944 in Las Vegas, NV. They lived most of their married life in Visalia, CA. Their union was blessed with four children: Sandie, Stan, Liz, and Randy. R.H. preceded her in death on February 18, 1962. Lucille was a homemaker until the death of her beloved husband in 1962 when she then went to work for Sprague Electric and retired after 25 years. She enjoyed crafts, traveling and cooking for the family. Lucille was active in the Ivanhoe Church of the Nazarene and served as a church board member and church secretary for a number of years. She was a member of the Visalia Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by Sandie Chilton (Bob) of Albany, OR, Stan Tollison (Gail) of St. Maries, ID, Liz Jones (Nick) of Visalia, CA, and Randy Tollison (Debi) of Daniel, WY. Additionally, she is survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, as well as one brother, Henry Blankenship of St. Maries, ID. She was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17th, 2010 from 2pm-7pm at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia, CA. Service will be held on Friday June 18th, 2010 at 12:00pm at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.Published in Visalia Times-Delta on June 17, 2010
