Death

Faye Maness Baker, age 56, of 207 Crestview Church Road, Asheboro died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Baker was born October 6, 1953 in Randolph County, the daughter of Charlie Edward and Helen Furr Maness. Mrs. Baker was lifelong resident of Randolph County and a homemaker. She was a founding member of Asheboro Holiness Missionary Church where she was the treasury, song leader and prayer warrior. Faye was formerly employed with Henry James BBQ for 13 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Faye was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie Edward and Helen Furr Maness; brother: Charlie Glenn Maness and sister: Lisa Ann Maness. She is survived by her husband: Daniel F. Baker; daughter: Jaime Carol Baker Markwood and her husband, Dexter; son: Daniel Lee Baker; adopted daughter, Jessica Willie Nelson; grandchildren, John Hellis Dillon, Wendy Lee Baker, Hyland Brooke Markwood, Raini Bliss Markwood, Zackary Daniel Lee Baker, Maelee Breeze Markwood all of Asheboro; brothers: Hal Edward Maness of Slidell, LA and Anthony Wayne Maness of Asheboro; sister: Linda Maness Harris of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Chris Maxey officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Asheboro Holiness Missionary Church, 1145 Foxfire Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205.
