Death

CONCORD Mary Hall, 90, of Concord, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at Avante in Concord. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord today, Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Roger Byrd, will be held in the chapel following visitation at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. Mrs. Hall was born May 15, 1921, to the late Arthur Reid Luther and Lula Mae Hudson Luther. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Hall; a daughter, Louise Furr; a granddaughter, Debra Furr; and a brother, Reid D. Luther. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Sossoman and her husband, John, and Libby Simpson and her husband, Boyce of Concord and Carol Bost of Harrisburg; one sister, Erma Lee Mabry of Norwood; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
