Death
Services for Mr. Wayne Furr will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at South Winnfield Baptist Church with Rev.s Jack Miller and Joe Solomon officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Sikes, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 AM until services in the church. Mr. Furr, age 58, of Sikes, LA died Monday, July 21, 2003 near Sikes. He was born in Wisner, LA, was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of South Winnfield Baptist Church, Vice President of Winn Parish Cattlemans Assoc. and active with Winn Parish Livestock Assoc. He was a truck driver. Survivors include his wife: Frances Bustin Furr of Sikes, LA; four sons: Marc Furr and his wife Michelle of Enid, MS, Michael Furr and his wife Dee Dee Furr of Monroe, LA, David Horne and his wife Donna of Calhoun, LA, Harvey Horne and his wife Rhonda of Calhoun, LA; three daughters: Rene McGee and husband Ron of Winnfield, Pam Horne of Winnfield and Cindy Vitrey and husband Rowland of Gulfport, MS; two sisters: Nell Poole of Bastrop, LA and Peggy Prestridge of Amory, MS; sixteen grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Wess, David, Shannon, Hunter, Haven, Danielle, Megan, Mileh, Haley, Tiffany, Jerimiah, Madison, Montanna and Caney.Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, LA
