COLUMBIA - Funeral services for Kenneth S. Watts, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church with entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. Memorials may be made to Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church, Food Pantry, 1500 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Watts was born November 27, 1933 in Loris and passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. He was a son of the late Sam G. Watts and Martha Grace Rhodes. Mr. Watts was a Veteran and served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1956. He was a lifetime member of Columbia Lodge #326, Jamil Temple, York Rite, Scottish Rites, 5 points Business Association, 5 Points Oyster Club and was Owner of Carolina Barber Shop in 5 Points for 50 years. Mr. Watts was a member of Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church. Mr. Watts is survived by his wife, Jean Sarvis Watts of Columbia; daughters, Tammy Kay Watts Furr (Robert Scott) of Fort Mill and Martha Jean Watts Goff (Robert Allen, Jr.) of Columbia; grandchildren, Morgan, Mary-Scott and Matthew Furr and Samuel, Aaron and William Goff; brothers, William O. Watts of West Columbia, Daniel G. Watts (Cheryl) of Lexington and Rayford W. Watts (Bethel) of Loris; sisters, Lucretia W. McCarty (Lane) of West Columbia and Dianne W. Vaught (Dewey) of Loris and sister-in-law, Alivida Watts of Loris. He is also survived by numerous members of his wife's family for whom he considered his own brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, John G. Watts.Published in The State on April 23, 2010
