Death

Tina Joy (Wood) Banta, 63, born July 27, 1958, passed away October 29, 2021, after a short fight with an illness. Tina was proceeded in death by her father, Johnnie B. Wood; mother, Betsy J. (Steele) Wood; sister, Tami G. Wood; aunt, Patsy (Steele) Bird; and nephew, Zachary Wood; as well as many other family members and friends. Tina lived a beautiful life full of love with her best friend and partner in life, Michael Banta; 3 children, Seth Rollins, Tami Banta and Callie Furr (Anthony). Tina enjoyed being a Mamaw to her 4 grandchildren more than anything in the world. Marcus Rollins, Lyla Furr, Owen Furr and Kamdyn Banta had a deep love and connection with their Mamaw that can never be replaced. Tina also left behind her brother, John Wood II (Kathy, Dasia, Johnnie and Tyler); who she loved dearly, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Tina left an unfillable hole in the lives of the people who love her, she will forever be missed and loved. A celebration of Tina's life will be held at the Marysville Elks Lodge, 920 D Street on Sunday October 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
