Death
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hulett-Winstead Purvis chapel for Donald Ray Swan, 55, of Philadelphia, Pa., who died Thursday at the V.A. Hospital in Philadelphia. The Rev. Johnny H. Brezeale will officiate. Interment will be in the Coaltown Cemetery. Mr. Swan was a native of Purvis and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Swan; stepmother, Mrs. Julia B. Swan of Purvis; a twin sister, Mrs. Dorothy Karnes of San Diego, Ca.; two other sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Johnson of Picayune and Mrs. Laurita Ingram of San Diego; two stepsisters, Mrs. Maggie Maass of Purvis and Mrs. Sarah Nelson of Vivian, La.; three brothers, Aubrey E. Swan of Hattiesburg, Robert L. Swan of San Diego and James C. Swan of Whittier, Ca.; and two stepbrothers, Homer (Bud) Elliott and Lawrence Elliott, both of Purvis.
