Death

James "Jack" Jackson Little, 86, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle, NC. A funeral service for Mr. Little will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Union Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Lee Church and Rev. Jerry Mabry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Friday, September 15, 2017 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care. Jack was born June 4, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Beulah Bost Little and Dee Little. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a retired volunteer firefighter with SouthSide Volunteer Fire Department and managed the Stanly Hardware Warehouse where he retired also. Mr. Little was also a member at Union Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Little is survived by his wife of 64 years Sarah "Jane" Furr Little; daughters Cathy Little White (Lamar) of Kannapolis, NC, and Rita Little Lee (Randy) of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren Adina Lee Blake (Matt) of Vernon Hill, VA, Heath Lee of Oakboro, NC, Brandon Lee of Oakboro, NC, Brian White (Mandi) of New London, NC, and Craig White of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren Kahli, Ashton, Jackson, Noah, Isabella, Brianna, Tucker, Emma, Audrey, and Allena; sister Kathleen McIntyre of Norwood, NC; brother Richard Little of New London, NC; and a brother who was like a son Max Little of Albemarle, NC. He is preceded in death by sisters Pattie Poole and Doris Burgess; and brothers Billy, Kenneth, George, and Tom little.
