Death

FURR, MABEL R., 86, passed away February 15, 2009 in Kissimmee, FL after a short but hard battle with cancer. Mrs. Furr was born October 22, 1922 in North Carolina and is the last of six children. She retired after 30 years as a Nurses Aide with Orlando General Hospital (Florida Hospital East). She was a member of the Pershing Avenue Christian Church and enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and fishing. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Littleton; granddaughter, Sherri Garib; great granddaughters, Alyssa, Rebecca and Mary and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge "Rainey" Furr, daughter, Rebecca Dowdy and son, Chris Furr. A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, February 19th from 6-8PM at the Baldwin Fairchild Conway Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 20th at 10AM at Pershing Avenue Christian Church, 2000 Pershing Avenue, with interment immediately following at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
