Death

TELOGIA - Jerry E. Coon, 47, a self-employed mechanic, died Monday, March 7, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debra Coon. The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. EST Wednesday at Good Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. EST today at Independent Funeral Home in Quincy (850-875-1529). He was a native of Gadsden Co., and had lived in Telogia for the past 10 years. Other survivors include two daughters, Jena Rogers of Telogia and Tiffany Coon (and fiancee Darryl Hires) of Telogia; his parents, Gene and Myrtle Coon of Oak Grove; a brother, Clayton Coon of Hardaway; three sisters, Diann Carlton of Lake Talquin and Gail Holmes and Mickey Goodson, both of Oak Grove; and three grandchildren, Ryan Rogers, Mary Beth Rogers and Brooke Hires. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Hobbs Long.
