CONCORD - Claire Teresa Shipwash Culp, 59, of 1199 Crestmont Drive, went to be with her maker on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at the home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, with the Rev. Bill Coughlin officiating. Burial will be at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, Concord. Mrs. Culp was born July 19, 1949, in Guilford County, the daughter of the late Donald Ray Shipwash and the late Teresa (Kach) Shipwash. She was a homemaker and a member of Landis First Assembly Church. Survivors include her husband, John E. Culp of Concord; daughter, Lisa C. Furr and husband, Greg T. Furr, of Kannapolis; son, John A. Culp of Italy; brother, Michael Shipwash of Rieglewood; sister, Donna Meyers of Cleveland; and grandchild, Hayden Furr. The family meeting place will be the home, 1199 Crestmont Drive, Concord.
