Death

John Edward Bobertz, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, husband of Brenda Sue Bobertz, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008. The relatives and friends of John are invited to attend his funeral service Tuesday, July 8, 2008 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and visitors on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. John was born March 22, 1947 in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late John Edward Bobertz, Sr. and Angelina Araneo Bobertz. He was a graduate of Henderson State University; the former Vice President of Sales for Momar, Inc., in Atlanta, GA; and a member of the Dunes West Golf Club, where he was active in the Senior Men's Golf Association. John loved life, his family, and his friends with passionate zeal. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; his son, Jason M. Bobertz and his wife Shannon Furr Bobertz of Columbia, SC; his daughter, Angela Christie Finnegan and her husband Drew Finnegan of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Sarah Bobertz and Caitlyn Finnegan; and one brother, Edward Bobertz of Clark, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of the Southeast, 1941 Savage Road, Suite 200-A, Charleston, SC 29407.
