Death
Ralph McDonald Freeman, Sr.CAROLINA BEACH -- Mr. Freeman, 84, of 1107 St. Joseph Street, died Saturday, March 4, 2006. Mr. Freeman was born February 21, 1922 in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Charles Freeman and Julia Furr Freeman. Survivors include his son, Ralph Freeman, Jr. and wife, Ann, of Carolina Beach; brother-in-law, Bernard Thornburg of Holden Beach, NC; grandchildren, Donna Rabon of Boiling Springs Lake, NC, Joy Lynn Drew of Leland, NC; and great-grandchildren, Jessica Drew and Brandon Rabon. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC.
The family requests memorials be directed to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 725 Wellington Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401. Coble Ward - Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Oleander Chapel, (910) 791-4444, is in charge.
